Last autumn the David Millar Project were asked by Brooks of England to assist in the launch of their new high tech Cambium C13 carbon saddle.

The new saddle is both a radically different direction for Brooks, a move away from their traditional leather product, and a triumphant return to the world of racing. Brooks recognised the need for a fresh new approach and wanted to work in collaboration with David, so we were a natural choice for them – with a wealth of experience shooting bike racing in an innovative way and also having a close working experience with David himself.

The Cambium C13 is designed to be a market-leader for riding bumps, so the cobbles of Paris-Roubaix was the perfect place to really put the saddle through its paces. Needless to say David didn't hold back and he even enjoyed riding the pavé once more!

It was thoroughly enjoyable getting the team back together in the Arenberg forest of Paris-Roubaix, and completing something we can be proud of with such a quick turnaround - compared to the David Millar Project, which is now in the edit phase.
